GLEN GARDNER WOMAN CHARGED WITH $68,000 THEFT FROM Horseman’s Association of Delaware Valley

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III and Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski announced the arrest of one individual as the result of an investigation conducted by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit. According to Prosecutor Kearns, “On April 14, 2015, Catherine L. Brady, age 46, of Glen Gardner, New Jersey was arrested on a warrant based on the Grand Jury returning an indictment charging her with one count of 3 rd Degree Theft. It is alleged that between March 2013 through March 2014, she took over $68,000 from the Horseman’s Association of Delaware Valley. She was a trusted officer of the Association with access to their funds and accounts during the time she is alleged to have committed the theft.” The defendant was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail and subsequently released after posting $20.000 bail set by the Honorable Bradford M. Bury, J.S.C. The case was investigated by Detective First Class Aaron Lacey and presented to the Grand Jury by Executive Assistant Prosecutor Deborah Factor. The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law
