GoodWorks Band Teams Up with Hampton Inn to Host Free Event to Help Nonprofits

Local rock band GoodWorks is at it again. This time the band that champions the concept of giving back through music is working with Hampton by Hilton Woodbridge to host a free fundraising showcase event on January 24 to help nonprofits produce affordable special events and fundraisers. The turnkey program provides entertainment from the band, a venue and marketing support at no cost to the organization.

GoodWorks has been giving back for some time.  It started several years ago when the band had an idea to play in diners across the state to raise money for New Jersey Food Banks. In less than 48 hours, the “diner tour” brought in more than $7,500 in donations.  Since then the band has helped numerous organizations including Baker’s Treat in Flemington (featured in USA Today) , Alternatives Inc., the Summit Speech School, Highland Park High School Orchestra and many more.  See the band website for a full list of organizations (www.goodworksband.com).

A press release on the band’s latest initiative with Hampton Inn is below.  Let me know if you’d like to talk with Paul Lavenhar about why the band continues to give back and how this latest initiative will bring this program to more organizations.
