Great Hunterdon Rubber Ducky Race Set for Sunday 7/12 in CLINTON

In training since last July, Clinton Sunrise Rotary’s rubber duckies are ready to swim for the finish line this Sunday.  The 26th Annual Great Hunterdon Rubber Ducky Race will take place at 2pm on the South Branch of the Raritan River at the Clinton Bridge.

Duck sponsorships are available for $10 each and proceeds support 2 worthwhile charities.  This creative fundraiser benefits the American Cancer Society’s programs of research, education, advocacy and patient/family services in the Northwest NJ Region and the gold standard programs of support, education and hope for cancer patients and their families at the Cancer  Support Community Central New Jersey.  For a sponsorship form, visit www.clintonsunriserotary.org

The event will be a colorful one, as hundreds of yellow rubber ducks race to the finish line, sponsors cheering them on, hoping that THEIR duck will be a winner.   Winning ducks will waddle away with:

1st place wins a 4 day, 3 night Walt Disney World Package for two (includes air for 2, hotel, Park Passes) or a trip of equivalent value.

2nd place wins a Travel Voucher from Clark Travel for $500.00

3rd place wins a magnificent gift basket from Clinton Guild valued at $450.00

4th place wins a $250.00 gift certificate from Clinton Falls Framing and Art Gallery

5th place wins a $200.00 gift certificate from Clinton Falls Framing and Art Gallery & $50 gift card from Riverside Coffee & Tea

New this year – The Clinton Guild will be sponsoring a Ducky Scavenger Hunt and other activities.  Come early for ducky day on July 12, join the hunt and find the ducks hidden in the windows of the stores in Clinton.  Guess how many duck candies are in the jar.  Get balloons, make a duck hat, and more.  Pick up your scavenger hunt sheets at the Clinton Guild table at noon on Main Street.  And have a ducky of a day!
