GUN BURGLAR NABBED

@ approximately 6:00 PM – Police arrested Cuthbert A. Anderson, Jr., age 21 of Lawrenceville, NJ and charged him with burglary of and theft from a residence following an investigation. On August 16, 2016 police were called to residence on Old York Road for a reported residential burglary. During the initial investigation police learned that an unknown person or persons had entered the residence overnight, while the homeowners were home and asleep. The homeowners were not confronted by the burglar(s). The homeowners reported that several firearms, a small amount of cash, several power tools and several bottles of alcoholic beverages were missing.
After a several months long investigation in conjunction with detectives from the New Jersey State Police – Kingwood Barracks, Anderson was identified as a suspect. On Thursday, February 9 Anderson was interviewed by Raritan Township Detectives at the Burlington County Jail, where he was lodged on charges out of that county. On Friday, February 10, Anderson was transferred to the Somerset County Jail where he was served with the charges out of Raritan Township. He was additionally charged with possession of a handgun without a permit, sale of weapons and possession of a weapon – rifles/shotguns. Anderson remained lodged in the Somerset County Jail.
