Harold E. Wydner
FRENCHTOWN, NJ – Harold E. Wydner, 88, of Frenchtown, NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ.
Born October 16, 1927 in Port Coldon, NJ, Harold lived in Holland Township, NJ, before moving to Kingwood Township, NJ, over 60 years ago. He worked as a machine operator at Rexham Corp. in Flemington, NJ. Prior to that he worked at the Riegel Paper Corp. in Milford, NJ, and also as a plumber. An avid outdoorsman, Harold enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was a member of the Farmer Sportsman Club in Holland Township, NJ. He was a member of the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church. Harold was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Son of the late Harry Wydner and Blanche Bolmer, Harold is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth “Betty” Wydner, his two sons Carl Wydner of Milford, NJ, and Harold Wydner, Jr. of Whitehouse Station, NJ, his two daughters Elizabeth Bliss and Cynthia Snyder, both of Frenchtown, NJ, his brothers Lawrence and Harry, Jr., 7 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Harold was predeceased by his brother Sylvester Wydner.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11 AM, at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ, with the Reverend William “Tex” Colton officiating. Internment will be private. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 10-11 AM, prior to the service.
