Harvey Richard Becker
HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ – Harvey Richard Becker, 77, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA.
Born June 19, 1938 in Easton, PA, Harvey was a lifelong resident of Holland Township. He was raised on his parents farm and graduated from Frenchtown High School. Harvey was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. He worked for the former Riegel Paper Corp. at Hughsville Mill for 30 years. Harvey was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed going to car and cycle shows. He was member of the American Motorcyclist Motorcycle Club and St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church in Milford, NJ.
Son of the late Paul A. and Florence (Yetter) Becker, Harvey is survived by his two brothers, Paul S. Becker and his wife Nancy, and Joseph H. Becker and his wife Barbara, all of Bloomsbury, NJ; his two nephews, David Becker and Douglas Becker; and his four nieces, Kathryn Anchorstar, Joanne Szuter, Mary Powell, and Christine Hall.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July, 7 2015 at 9:00 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Edward the Confessor RC Church, Milford, NJ. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
