Flemington, NJ – Helen (Mickle) Hamilton, entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Dr. Bernard and Helen (Anceravige) Mickle. Helen attended Douglas College, Rutgers University where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree and met her future husband, Neal. Helen resided in Flemington, NJ since 1981.
Helen was an active member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church. She also loved bowling, gardening and dachshunds. Her love of dachshunds started her on a journey of breeding and showing dachshunds under the Apple Hill kennel name. She became an AKC breeder of merit having produced numerous champions and was also the past president of the Dachshund Club of New Jersey, a member of the Dachshund Club of America, a board member of the Somerset Hills Kennel Club and a member of the Central New Jersey Hound Association.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband Neal and daughters, Carrie Hamilton and Megan Hicks. She will also be dearly missed by her cherished grandchildren, James and Andrew Hicks.
Helen gave in death, as she gave in life. Through the NJ Sharing Network, Helen’s spirit will live on in the many lives she will touch through her generous donation.
