After a long drive from Ocean City to the Myrtle Beach area I was thrilled to finally pull into the Inlet Sports Lodge and find absolutely wonderful accommodations. Located conveniently on route 17 in the Murrells Inlet part of this destination area the Lodge is just a perfect escape for golfers or couples looking for that special getaway.
Staying with our usual program we look immediately for these things
Location – couldn’t be better. This Lodge is just off of 17 business route and can be accessed of the express part of 17. It is so close to the restaurant row – see pictures at the end – it literally takes you under a minute to be next to the pier where there are ten excellent choices to eat. Rating location this is an A +
Price – When looking around at places to stay of this caliber, the Lodge was right there in a solid price point.
Cleanliness – Superb, couldn’t be better quite frankly, the staff here is obviously very attentive to every detail. The place is immaculate down to every detail.
Equipped – The room has everything. From a wonderfully comfortable oversized bed to a three seat sofa, to a great table from which to work at this room is suited for the guy or gal on the go or for people who just want to kick their feet up and relax. There is a full size refrigerator, an oversized microwave, a dishwasher, wine glasses, pots, pans, plates, flatware, you could live here for a week with no problem. The bathroom has a glassed in shower that again was spotless. Coffeemaker, toaster, ironing board also make a longer stay so very comfortable. A nice hd tv is on a swivel so you can watch it at the table, sofa or in bed. Three drawer dresser and full closet let you completely unpack and the fan over the bed is an excellent touch.
Staff – we don’t always bring this up but Randy who checked me in was overly nice as he could sense I was a little frazzled by the long ride. He was polite and pointed out places to go things to do and all of the extras that were offered during the stay. He could not have been more considerate.
And I would be remiss not to mention the contact person Catherine Rotman, who got back to me quickly and set up my stay in such a professional manner, the Lodge is lucky to have her as the marketing wing of their establishment. She cared for everything with ease and made my trip down so much easier, not enough great things can be said.
Below are a bevy of pictures of the Lodge and the nearby surrounding area restaurants. If you are a mature person that doesn’t want to get in the mayhem of Mid Myrtle you cannot find a better place to stay
BRAVO – enjoy
