Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Na’Bodach!

Na’Bodach performs at the North County Branch Library, Clinton, March 18 at 2:00 pm. Na’Bodach (broad Scots for “not old men!”) reimagines traditional music of the British Isles and its crossover into the US in new and decidedly untraditional ways, using both acoustic and electric instruments and drawing on influences as diverse as funk, progressive rock, Celtic folk, blues and classical. Formed in the late 1990s, the band recorded two well-received albums. After a pause of about a year and some personnel changes Na’Bodach now is Casey Jones (Deger pipes, whistles and vocals), Bud Osthaus (Bass, flute and vocals), Glenn Owens (Guitar, Mandolin and vocals) and new members Mark Stewart (Bouzouki, fiddle and vocals), Randy Decker (Percussion, harmonica and vocals) and Wolf Hul (Violin and vocals). Casey Gabriel, a speech-language pathologist from Kessler Rehabilitation Center will talk about ways to exercise your brain to promote healthy aging on March 21 at 7:00 pm at Hunterdon County Library, Rt. 12, Flemington. Chilling Out with the FrostKings

The FrostKings, a four piece R&B, swing, and blues band, will play at the North County Branch Library, Clinton, March 23 at 7:00 pm. Originating from the North Jersey area, they have played many festivals and venues over the years with guitar, upright bass, saxes, vocals and drums and are equally at home with swinging shuffles, slow blues or full-tilt boogies. Their repertoire ranges from the West Coast swing stylings of Louis Jordan and T-Bone Walker, to the classic blues of Luther Johnson, B.B.
