Hunterdon Central Is Proud Partner of Armed Forces Heritage Museum

On Veterna’s Day, as we honored the men and women who have served our country, Hunterdon Central was proud to announce our partnership with the Armed Forces Heritage Museum.

The AFHM is an organization whose mission is to “Preserve, Honor, and Educate all on the military history of New Jersey and the surrounding regions.”

Hunterdon Central is committed to helping with this mission and sharing the inspiring stories of those who served with our community .

Each month, Hunterdon Central Television will share a new video from the Living History Project of the AFHM. The programs will air on HCTV-Channel 27 and will also be posted to Hunterdon Central Television’s Youtube Channel.

On Veteran’s Day, Saturday, November 11, we began our partnership by airing the story of Ernest Kaufman, a survivor of a German concentration camp during WWII. Mr. Kaufman managed to eventually join the US Armed Forces, returned to Germany as an intelligence officer and was awarded the Bronze Star for his courage, and for saving countless lives.

The Armed Forces Heritage Museum’s Video on Ernest Kaufman can be viewed on Hunterdon Central’s Television’s Youtube Channel and will air on HCTV-Channel 27 on:

  • Saturday, November 11: 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
  • Saturday, November 11: 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM
  • Sunday, November 12: 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
  • Sunday, November 12: 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

To all the men and women who have served our country and protected our freedom, the students and staff of Hunterdon Central say, “Thank you for serving.”
