HUNTERDON COUNTY DIVISION OF SENIOR SERVICES SENIOR FARMERS MARKET NUTRITION PROGRAM

Hunterdon County residents, 60 years of age or older with low income, is invited to participate in the New Jersey Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program sponsored by the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services.

 

Participants will receive five (5) checks valued at $5.00 each to be redeemed at participating farm stands for fresh produce and herbs.

 

Farmers are not allowed to give change so each $5.00 check must be used in its entirety.

Checks can be obtained from one of the following locations:

 

  • Division of Senior, Disabilities & Veteran Services
  • North Hunterdon Senior Center
  • Readington Township Director of Social Services Housing Coordinator

 

Income for Single is $1,860 month or Couple $2,504

                 Most show proof of income

 

Note: Checks may be used until October 30, 2017

Checks must be picked up in person and signed for; if a senior is      housebound, arrangements can be made for his/her representative to pick up the checks.
