The Boy Scouts of Hunterdon County will recognize Hunterdon County Sheriff Frederick W. Brown with the Distinguished Citizen Award. Sheriff Brown has served as the Sheriff of Hunterdon County since 2010 and is extremely active in the community and embodies the tenant of the Scout Oath “To help other people at all times”.
The Distinguished Citizen Award was established to acknowledge those in the community who have distinguished themselves above others and who have a strong record of voluntary service to their community. The award is granted by the Boy Scouts of America & Washington Crossing Council upon the recommendation of a committee of community leaders and past recipients.
In addition to honoring Sheriff Brown, the evening’s highlight will be a key note address from Astronaut and World Renowned Entrepreneur, Gregory Olsen. Doctor Olsen is the President of GHO Ventures, LLC of Princeton, NJ and in 2005 became the 3rd private citizen to orbit the Earth on the International Space Station. This promises to be a great evening of recognition and fellowship with a great message delivered by Dr. Olsen. Tickets are available for only $35 and can be obtained online at www.HAD2017DCA.eventbrite.com. Various levels of Sponsorship and Advertising opportunities are available and for more information contact Helen at Helen.Kane@Scouting.org.
