Hunterdon Medical Center was ranked the 9th best hospital in New Jersey (with 350 beds or under) by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., one of the nation’s most respected health care research and information companies. These rankings were recently published in Inside Jersey’s 2015 Top Hospitals issue.
Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. asked licensed physicians throughout the state to name the top hospitals for various medical conditions, as well as overall care. Over 2,000 physicians in New Jersey participated and cast nearly 34,000 votes. The results are published in two categories, hospitals with 350 beds or more and hospitals with 350 beds or under. Hunterdon Medical Center has 178 beds and was ranked in the 350 beds and under category.
Hunterdon Medical Center also ranked 10th for top hospitals for the treatment of prostate cancer, 10th for the treatment of neurological disorders, 10th for hip and knee replacement, 10th for the treatment of congestive heart failure, 10th for treatment of stroke, 10th for the treatment of breast cancer and 7th for the treatment of high risk pregnancies.
In addition, Hunterdon Medical Center was also 4th for highly satisfied patients, 4th for doctors communicating well and 2nd for registered nurses communicating well.
