Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III and Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano are announcing that the Hunterdon County and Somerset County Prosecutor’s Offices, along with a task force of multiple law enforcement agencies, have been investigating several burglaries that occurred across several jurisdictions in 2014. The Hunterdon County Grand Jury handed down a 20 count indictment on March 26, 2015 charging Levi Bailey and Yahsiyn Thompson with nine burglaries, nine thefts, one count of conspiracy and one count of attempted burglary. According to Prosecutor Kearns, “Detectives arrested one defendant in the Atlantic City area on March 31st and another is still at large. Arrested was Yahsiyn Thompson, age 27, of Atlantic City. He was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail after his arrest with bail set at $50,000. Detectives are still looking for Levi Bailey, age 30, with a last known address in Atlantic City. Mr. Bailey stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was indicted on 20 charges in Hunterdon County and an arrest warrant on the indictment is active.” The Prosecutor added, “Levi Bailey and Yahsiyn Thompson, on diverse dates between August 8, 2014 and November 4, 2014, burglarized residences in Delaware Township, Clinton Township, East Amwell Township, Upper Freehold Township, Bernards Township, Hillsborough Township, Sparta Township, and Hope Township.” The following agencies are part of the Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force investigating the burglaries. The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, Clinton Township Police, Readington Township Police, Delaware Township Police, Hillsborough Township Police, Sparta Township Police, Montgomery Township Police, West Amwell Township Police, Bernards Township Police, the New Jersey State Police, the Pleasantville Police Department, and the Atlantic City Police Department.
