HUNTERDON SWAT TEAM TAKES DOWN DRUG DEALERS IN CLINTON

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski,
and Town of Clinton Police Chief Brett Matheis announced a joint investigation by the
Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, & Narcotics Task Force, the Town of
Clinton Police Department, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office SWAT Team, and the
New Jersey State Police has led to the arrest of three individuals for narcotics offenses.


According to Prosecutor Kearns, “A three month long joint investigation has resulted in the
arrest of Michael Kolba Jr., age 19, of Lebanon, for 3rd degree Distribution of CDS
(Alprazolam), Victor Tranquilli, age 19, of Hampton, for 3rd degree Conspiracy to Distribute
CDS (Marijuana), and Maxwell Krizan, age 19, of Branchburg, for Possession of CDS
(Marijuana). The arrests took place in the Town of Clinton on January 23, 2018. Over $2400
in cash was seized during the raid.”
Mr. Tranquilli and Mr. Krizan were released pending a court appearance. Mr. Kolba was
lodged in the Somerset County Jail.
The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The
defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
