Although it may seem as though the school year just began, November signals the time to start thinking about next year and what academic challenges your child will be undertaking. For eighth graders throughout the county, now is the time to seriously consider one of the full-time Academies as an option for high school. For students already in high school, now is the time to take a visit and consider a Polytech program. Meanwhile, the Adult & Continuing Education has recognized National Apprenticeship Week this week. After hosting a guest speaker, their social media accounts have and will continue to include apprenticeship information, so be sure to find the school on Facebook and keep up with all the ways apprenticeship programs can help you in the future.
Application Deadline Approaching for Academies
In an effort to facilitate an easier scheduling process for both students and Hunterdon County’s high schools, Hunterdon County Vocational School District (HCVSD) has moved up the application deadline for the Biomedical Sciences Academy and the Computer Science and Software Engineering Academy to December 15th.
Tours Beginning for High School Students
Considering Polytech
High school students considering attending Polytech during their junior and senior years can begin to learn more about the school by attending tours of Polytech’s facilities. During the coming months, all five of Hunterdon County’s high schools and West Morris Central will be bringing interested students to visit Polytech and sit in on classes as the students begin to think about their schedules for the last two years of high school.
