IN HUNTERDON MAN ARRESTED FOR DISTRIBUTION OF MARIJUANA WAX

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski, and Readington Township Police Chief Joseph Greco announced that a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, & Narcotics Task Force, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office K9 Unit and the Readington Township Police Department has led to the arrest of one individual for narcotics offenses.

According to Prosecutor Kearns, “The joint investigation resulted in the arrest of Christopher G. Kopon, age 20, of Whitehouse Station, on January 3, 2018, for 3rd degree Distribution of Marijuana Wax. Marijuana wax is an extremely potent marijuana extract product that is a wax-like substance containing exceedingly high levels of concentrated THC.  Mr. Kopon was released pending his first court appearance.”

The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
