Tracy Leaver, founder and executive director of Woodlands Wildlife Refuge, was honored as a Leading Women Brand Builder by the Leading Women Entrepreneurs & Business Owners (LWE) at a dinner in Somerset on October 17.
The award is given in recognition of unprecedented work in bringing forth business and brands in both the for-profit and non-profit arenas that shape leaders and role models for the future. The LWE is dedicated to women in organizations and businesses that excel in innovation, market potential, community involvement and advocacy. Linda Wellbrock, LWE Founder stated; “We are proud to recognize the 2016 Leading Women Brand Builders who have already built unstoppable brands.”
In accepting the award, Leaver said, “I am honored that Woodlands’ brand and longevity is recognized in this way. It helps to further our cause to educate the public and help wildlife.” Founded in 1986, Woodlands Wildlife Refuge this year is celebrating 30 years of caring for and releasing thousands of orphaned and injured native wild animals.
