Crown Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Hospital announces a Pet First Aid and CPR seminar
on Tuesday, November 15 at 7 p.m. at its 24-hour emergency and specialty care hospital in Lebanon, New Jersey.
Learning how to properly administer first aid techniques can help save a pet’s life. Practice and preparation are the most effective ways
to stay calm in an emergency and administer the proper care until a pet receives veterinary treatment.
The seminar, focusing on dogs and cats, will cover: basic first aid for common medical problems and life-saving techniques in emergencies;
the top five critical signs of distress that mean a pet needs a vet immediately; response for poisoning and allergic reactions; CPR and rescue
breathing; wound care and bandaging; and much more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win door prizes donated by Crown Veterinary
Emergency veterinarian Heather Loenser, DVM, will be presenting the seminar. Dr. Loenser has focused her career on emergency veterinary medicine
and is the Veterinary Advisor for Professional and Public Affairs with the American Animal Hospital Association. She is also a media personality frequently
contributing pet health care tips and advice on major networks and programs such as The Today Show and Fox News.
A suggested donation of $10 per person will help support Crown’s Care Fund, the veterinary hospital’s nonprofit foundation providing assistance to pet owners
who are experiencing financial difficulty, as well as shelter and rescue pets.
