Isabell Saveria (LaManna) Mendrick, 84, entered into eternal life on Monday, June 8, 2015 at home with loving family by her side. Born in Newark, NJ, daughter of the late Frank and Saveria (Villanova) LaManna, she had resided in East Orange, NJ before settling in Branchburg forty-four years ago.
Isabell earned her Master’s Degree from Seton Hall University. She retired after many years of dedicated employment with the Branchburg Township Board of Education as a teacher. Isabell loved entertaining, cooking and baking, and cherished time spent at the Jersey shore. Isabell loved sailing and attending the Opera with family. She was a parishioner of The Catholic Church of St. Ann in Raritan, NJ.
Besides her parents, Isabell was predeceased by three siblings, Devina Abruzzese, Antoinette LaManna, and Vincent LaManna.
Isabell is survived by her beloved husband of forty-six years, Stan A. Mendrick; loving daughters, Francesca and her husband John Finegan of Long Valley, NJ, Cara Ann Mendrick (Kevin Zalewski) of Three Bridges, NJ, and Danielle and her husband Frank Dana of Warren, NJ. She will be deeply missed by eight cherished grandchildren, Claire, Emilie, and Grace Finegan, Aiden and Dylan Zalewski, and Colin, Madigan, and Reagan Dana.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 US Highway 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, June 12 from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday, June 13 from 10:30-11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13 beginning 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 12:00 p.m. funeral liturgy at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ 08869. The disposition will be private.
