IT MUST HAVE BEEN SOME GOOD WEED – One car crash that driver doesn’t remember


@ approximately 12:37 AM – Police arrested Tristan J. Baldwin, age 20 of Skillman, NJ and charged him with driving under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) following a single vehicle crash on Barley Sheaf Road. Police were initially called to the area of Barley Sheaf Road and Kuhl Road for a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle crash.


Upon arrival, police learned that Baldwin was driving south on Barley Sheaf Road in a 2007 Honda Civic when the vehicle crossed the center line and drove off of the left side of the roadway, striking 3 Buckeye Pipeline vent pipes, before coming to rest in an open field. Baldwin could not explain how the crash occurred. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. Baldwin was transported to Hunterdon Medical Center by the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad for evaluation of a possible head injury.


After being released from HMC, Baldwin was processed at police headquarters. He was issued additional motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lane control, careless driving and reckless driving. Baldwin was also charged criminally with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. The vehicle was towed and Baldwin was released to a family member after processing.
