Jacqueline F. Holcombe, age 88 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ, July 21, 1928, daughter of the late Patrick and Johanna Kellner Ferris, she had resided in the Ringoes area most of her life.
A graduate of Flemington High School, she was formerly employed by the Hunterdon County Democrat and later owned and operated Type Studio specializing in graphic arts.
Jackie was a member of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church of Ringoes, NJ; was a former board member of the Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead; and was active for many years as a 4H leader. Jackie was an avid quilter who loved to cook and sew, painted in watercolors and enjoyed photography.
Her husband, Charles E. Holcombe, died in 1999; and a son-in-law and grandson, Paul Bonatz and Kyle Bonatz, both died this year. She was also pre-deceased by her sister, Mable Totten and a brother, William Ferris.
Surviving are a son, Dean Holcombe of Milford, NJ; four daughters, JoEllen Gifford of Skowhegan, WI, Jill Mock of Stockton, NJ, Jerilyn Myers of Townsend, TN. and Tracey Bonatz of Easton, PA.; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a brother, Carlton Ferris of Rio Rancho, NM.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 11:00 AM in Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, 37 John Ringo Road, Ringoes, NJ. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Saturday 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.
