NOCKAMIXON TOWNSHIP, PA – James L. Wismer, Sr., 73, of Nockamixon Township, PA, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, PA.
Born April 17, 1943 in Frenchtown, NJ, James was a life long resident of Upper Black Eddy, PA. He worked for Swamps Auto Works in Ferndale, PA for several years. Prior to that, he worked for Milford Atlantic Automotive in Milford, NJ for over 30 years. James was an avid racing fan and driver. He raced at many local tracks over the years, including Harmony, Flemington, and Nazareth race tracks and was involved with the sport for many years with his son.
Son of the late William and Evelyn (Beer) Wismer, James is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Marcella L. (Lipka) Wismer, his daughter Lisa Bowman and her husband Todd of New Britain, PA, his son James L. Wismer, Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Upper Black Eddy, PA, his brother Edward Wismer of Kintnersville, PA, his sister Ruth Litke of Telford, PA, and his six grandchildren Carlese, Taylor Ann, Chase, Taylore Rinay, Aubrie, and Gabbi. He was predeceased by his sister Elaine Weaver.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
