Jean D. Sammond
BLOOMSBURY, NJ –
Jean Dorothy Sammond, 71, of Bloomsbury, Bethlehem Township, NJ, passed away on Monday February 2, 2015 at home.
Born June 11, 1943 in Irvington, NJ, Jean lived in Bloomsbury and worked for the N.J. Water Supply Authority in Clinton, NJ before retiring. She was also a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Jean enjoyed going to NASCAR races and casinos, walking on the beach, gardening and fishing. She was especially proud of her children.
Daughter of the late C. Walter and Evelyn (Neidl) Bataille, Jean is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, George B. Sammond, her son Chris Sammond and his wife Sue of Chester, NJ, her two daughters Linda Hallman and her husband Mark of Eustis, FL and Lori Riker and her husband Jamie of Milford, NJ her six grandchildren Matthew, Jillian, Alyssa, Andrew, David and Kimmie and two great grandchildren Cooper and Scarlett. She is also survived by two brothers David and William Bataille and two sisters Betty Keller and Barbara Kulish. She was predeceased by her sister Evelyn Sharrie.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 5, 2015 at 12 noon at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ with Pastor Dr. Linda Bullock, PhD. officiating. Interment will follow at Bloomsbury Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Thursday, from 11 AM until 12 noon, prior to the service at the funeral home.
