JERSEY MIKE’S SUBS DONATES OVER $6,000 TO HUNTERDON BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FOR MONTH OF GIVING

Hunterdon Healthcare and Jersey Mike’s Sub shop located in Flemington joined forces for Jersey Mike’s the annual March “Month of Giving” fundraising campaign.  During the month of March, customers made donations at Jersey Mike’s located in Flemington.  In addition, all sales from the dave of Giving on March 25th were donated.  The store raised $6,996.98 which was donated to Hunterdon Healthcare’s Hunterdon Behavioral Health department.

 

“We chose Hunterdon Behavioral Health as our charity because we know that many of us experience challenges throughout our lives and having these services is critical to the well-being of our community.  We are very fortunate to have the broad range of behavioral health services available right in our own backyard, stated Jill Stiffler, Owner, Jersey Mike’s Subs in Flemington.  Mrs. Stiffler went on to say, “The Hunterdon Behavioral Health department has provided support to so many individuals in our community, it is a pleasure to be able to give back and show our appreciation.”

Hunterdon Behavioral Health offers evaluation, medication monitoring and therapy for individuals with mental health issues; counseling for families in crisis to help provide a stable home environment; support for adolescents and adults struggling with alcohol or drug addiction and employee assistance to work with employers to resolve personal issues.  In addition, Hunterdon Behavioral Health provides treatment for children, adolescents and adults who experience difficulties in their work or school environment, depression, anxiety disorders, attention disorders, sleep disorders, eating disorders, emotional and behavioral issues and peer pressure.

 

“We are very proud and excited of what we have raised.  We are also very excited to know that we opened up conversations regarding mental health with many people and our entire team,” said Mrs. Stiffler.
According to Christopher Sickels, Executive Vice President, Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation, “Behavioral Health is one of our highest priorities and we are grateful to Jersey Mike’s for their support and help building awareness in our community.”

This year, Jersey Mike’s Subs Month of Giving campaign raised over $3 million for 150 different charities nationwide. Since 2011, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $8.3 million for worthy local causes and distributed more than 1 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
