Joan (Sullivan) Nazzaro, 83

Manchester, NJ- Joan (Sullivan) Nazzaro, 83, entered into eternal life on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Somerset, with her loving family at her side. Born in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late Edward and Winifred (Higgins) Sullivan, she grew up in Jersey City, NJ and lived in Iselin, NJ until settling to Manchester, NJ in 1999.

Joan was a working mother who took great pride in raising her family. She had last worked as an administrative assistant for the News Tribune Newspaper in Woodbridge, NJ. Joan was a faithful communicant of St. John’s in Lakehurst, NJ. Some of her favorite pastimes included shopping especially for shoes as she was a shoe fashionista, playing dominoes, and enjoyed spending happy times with her friends. The greatest joy in her life was being with her family especially her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her three brothers, Edward, Raymond and Donald Sullivan. 

Joan will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Jerry. She will be missed by her loving children: daughter, Janeen Smith and husband Randal of Stockton; son, Brian Nazzaro and wife Jessica of Morganville; son, Gerard Nazzaro and wife Tammy of Indiana; daughter, Lisa Young and husband Frank of Stockton. She also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, March 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, March 5th from 9:15-9:45 a.m.

Funeral services will be begin on Saturday, March 5th with 11:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Cecelia’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Wilus Way, Iselin, NJ 08830. Interment will be private.
