John J. Taylor, Sr.
BRIDGETON, TOWNSHIP, PA – John J. Taylor, Sr., 74, of Bridgeton Township, PA, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at his home.
Born July 17, 1940 in Doylestown, PA, John lived in Newtown, PA and South Carolina for many years before moving to Upper Black Eddy. He graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Engineering. John worked for AT&T and was an environmentalist for Western Electric. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. John also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, the Bridgeton Township Sportsman’s Association, and the Springtown Sportsman’s Club.
Son of the late Nathan Taylor, Jr. and Louise (Horn) Taylor, John is survived by his beloved wife of 4 years, Diane M. Taylor; his son John Taylor, Jr. and his wife Lynn of St. Cloud, FL; his daughter Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Taylor of Levittown, PA; his sister Mary Lou Schaffer; his eight grandchildren, Bradley, Brandon, Brittany, Chelsea, Bryce, Rebecca, Stephanie, and Katherine; his three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Christopher, and Mikayla; and his two step-children, Heidi Frank and her husband Ray, and Robert Dalrymple, Jr. and Anne Marie. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his son, James Taylor, and his daughter, Barbara Lynn Taylor.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July, 3, 2015 at 12 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow at the Milford Union Cemetery. Visitation will also be held on Friday from 10 AM to 12 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
