Joseph John Zenko, age 89 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, formerly of Union City, NJ, died on Friday, May 26, 2017 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Coaldale, PA, April 28, 1928, he had resided in Clinton Township for the past seventeen years.
Mr. Zenko retired from Red Star Trucking Company.
Joseph faithfully served his country as a United States Marine during the Korean War where he was awarded the Purple Heart.
His wife, Vincenzina, died in 2012. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Jeannie Zenko of West Palm Beach, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Edward Cahill of Clinton Township, NJ; four grandchildren, Michael, Brian and Jaime Zenko and Shannon Beers; and two great-grandsons, Daniel Edward and Brayden Allen Beers.
Funeral services and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
