Joyce E. Bellis Thatcher, age 88 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.
Joyce was a graduate of Frenchtown High School, Frenchtown, NJ. She worked as a secretary for Riegel Paper, Milford, NJ for eleven years. Additionally, she worked for many years as an employee of the Barn Theater, Frenchtown, NJ and Spadea Patterns, Milford, NJ.
A longtime member of the Frenchtown United Methodist Church, Frenchtown, NJ, Joyce will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.
She was a passionate lover of classical music, was very fond of animals and nature, enjoyed watching old movies and was an avid shopper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold H. Thatcher; a grandson, Steven Eric Haver; and a sister, Evelyn Bellis Blessing.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Paula Thatcher of Washington, NJ; her three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra M. and Thomas Tinsman of Strongstown, PA, Lynn L. and Douglas Pursell of Milford, NJ and Jill E. and Robert Haver, Sr. of Frenchtown, NJ; eight grandchildren, Britney, Bethany, Melani, Marc, Jamie, Adam, Michael, and Robert Jr.; seventeen great grandchildren, Liam, Lane, Tierney, Tyler, MaKenna, Griffin, Mandi, Ryan, Lilly, Gracie, Zoey, Jon, Jackson, Hailey, Heidi, Hannah, and Robert III; and many friends.
Cremation at the Chapel of Ewing Crematory, Ewing Township, NJ was private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
Graveside inurnment services were private at Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ.
