This celebration of life brings together numerous groups and individuals concerned about cancer in a unified effort to fight back.
Motorcyclists will meet at 10:00 am at Tramontin Harley-Davidson, Route 80, Exit 12 in Hope NJ for the Ride For The Cure that celebrates anyone who has battled cancer, remembers loved ones lost and empowers all to fight back against the disease. Kick stands up at 11:00am when the Riders will be led by the Blue Knights NJ8 on their journey through scenic Warren and Hunterdon County and will end at the Hunterdon County Fairgrounds, 1207 Rt 179, Lambertville, NJ where they will join other community members for some music, food and vendors.
At the Hunterdon County Fairgrounds participants can enjoy music, food and craft vendors from 11:00 am until 4:30pm. A short program will offer testimonials and stories of personal experiences.
Highlighting the event is the Remembrance Ceremony, to honor cancer survivors and to remember those who have lost the battle against cancer. We ask all attendees to bring a picture of a loved one they wish to honor and remember.
Hundreds of pictures will be hung to remind participants of the incredible importance of their contributions.
Ride For The Cure is as much an awareness raiser about the progress against cancer as it is a fund raiser, said Judy Tutela, Volunteer. ―Many of the participants will be people who have been dealt with cancer themselves. Their involvement is proof of the progress that has been made in reducing cancer death rates and in the quality of life following cancer treatment.
Vendors and Crafters are invited to join us at the RIDE FOR THE CURE community event from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Set up begins at 10 a.m. Spaces are $20, all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
