June Riche, age 59 years, of Flemington

Life Legacy

June Riche, age 59 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Friday, December 8, 2017 in Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Somerville, NJ, June 24, 1958, daughter of the late Walter J. and Ina M. Smith Regiec, June was raised in South Bound Brook, NJ, graduating from North Plainfield High School. She then moved to Dunellen, NJ and had lived in Flemington for the past ten years.

She was formerly an assembler for Timex, Somerset, NJ.

A loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, June was the one that anyone could go and talk to about anything. She was never judgemental, and would always be there for anyone. The word “caring” is an understatement when characterizing June.

She was extremely proud of her sobriety, an attended Alcoholics Anonymous for the past three years. June helped many others achieve sobriety and find a new peace in their lives. She accomplished this by being her genuine and caring self and leading by example. As she used to often say to herself, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as He did, this sinful world, as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Meghan and Shannon Ripley; her first husband, Michael Ripley; her second husband, Richard Riche; and her nephew-in-law, Robert Puerschner.

Surviving are her devoted son, Sean Patrick Ripley; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Veronica and Robert Wilson and Valerie and Harry Lake; two nieces, Marilyn Puerschner and Michelle Aponte; a nephew, Harry Lake and his wife, Nina; six great nieces and nephews; six great-great nephews; five adoring cats; her cherished Yorkie, “Bella”; and many dear friends.
