JUNKIES ASSAULT OFFICER – multiple indictments

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, announced the indictments of Lee T.
Zamorsky, age 33, and Scott A. Smith, age 36, both of Hampton, NJ. On January 25, 2018, a
Hunterdon County Grand Jury indicted Mr. Zamorsky for 3rd degree Possession of CDS
(Heroin), 4th degree Obstruction, and 3rd degree Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement
Officer.

Mr. Smith was indicted for 3rd degree Possession of CDS (Heroin).
According to Prosecutor Kearns, “Mr. Zamorsky and Mr. Smith were arrested on December 2, 2017,
by officers from the Flemington Borough Police Department. Both men were charged with
Possession of CDS (Heroin) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Zamorsky was also arrested
for Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Obstruction. In addition, Mr. Zamorsky
was found to be a fugitive of justice from Pennsylvania.”
An indictment is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed
innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
