Kay M. Kansky, age 81, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2016 with her loving family and close friends by her side.
She was born on March 23, 1935 in Newark, NJ. She was a lifelong resident of High Bridge, NJ until moving to Washington, NJ in 2012 to live with her son and be close to her children and grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late James and Jessie Ferguson Mackie.
Kay’s husband, Douglas M. Kansky, passed away in July of 2012.
Kay was a Court Administrator in High Bridge, NJ for over 20 years until moving to North Hunterdon Court in Annandale, NJ. She was Deputy Court Administrator until her retirement. In total, she worked for the court system for 33 years.
Kay made friends wherever she went. She was smart, witty and fun. She loved her children and grandchildren. They were her life. She also loved football and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.
She just celebrated her 81st birthday with her family and friends while she was in rehabilitation at Warren Haven. It was a fun and festive time for all.
Memberships include the Order of the Eastern Star and the Court Administrators Association.
Survivors include her daughter, Dayle Back and her husband Rick of Washington and her son, Glenn Kansky of Washington, NJ. 3 granddaughters, Kasey Back, Tiffany Kansky and Kelly Kansky. 1 brother, James Mackie and his wife Anne of Long Valley, NJ.
Predeceased in addition to her husband by one son, Garry R. Kansky who passed away in October of 2012.
Calling hour will be Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 1pm to 2pm. Followed by Funeral Service with Eastern Star Services at 2pm. All at Naughright-Scarponi Funeral Home, 66 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ. Interment will be private.
