Kenneth Adrian Hoppaugh
Kenneth Adrian Hoppaugh, also known as Sonny, 95 of Califon, NJ died on October 21, 2016
at the Little Brook Nursing Home in Lebanon Township, NJ.
Adrian was born in Califon NJ on July 18, 1921 the son of Peter Russell and Ethel (Apgar) Hoppaugh.
He served as a medic in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
Adrian worked as a custom cabinet maker and owned Califon Cabinet and Millworks until he retired and sold it to his employees, Pete and Bryan “Smitty.”
He was also civically active serving at various times as Califon’s Assistant Fire Chief, Califon Boy Scout Scoutmaster and Califon Borough Councilman. Adrian was a member of the Califon United Methodist Church serving as a Trustee for many years and a volunteer and board of director’s member for the Califon United Methodist Church’s Top o’ the Barn Thrift Shop.
He is survived by his sister Sylva H. Burd, of Califon, a nephew James N. Ladd of Portland TN., and other nieces and nephews living in various parts of the country.
Adrian was never married and in addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his three brothers, Allen, Raymond, and Ronnie.
Adrian will be dearly missed by all who knew him as he was truly the kindest, most generous, and caring person they will ever know.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday October 26 at 11:00am in the Coughlin Funeral Home, 15 Academy Street Califon, NJ 07830 followed by burial in the Fairmount Cemetery, Tewksbury Township, NJ. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 11:00am.
Adrian dearly loved his visits from the therapy dogs during his time at Little Brook Nursing Home.
