Lambertville: David “Yi” McCloughan, 55 died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Lambertville, David was a member of St. John’s R.C. Catholic Church in Lambertville. He worked at Johanna Foods, Inc for 34 years in the warehouse and making juice and was a union shop steward for many years. David was very involved with youth sports in the Lambertville area, coaching for
the Lambertville Ramblers Football team for over 20 years and coaching for the Lambertville Basketball Association and the Lambertville West Amwell Youth Baseball Association for many years. He also used to referee basketball and umpire baseball for many years.
David was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and son. Family came first and he was always ready and willing to jump in and lend a hand in any situation. He was extremely proud of his children and nothing gave him more pleasure than watching and supporting them in there many varied activities. His most recent pleasure was attending Thomas’ football games for Delaware Valley
University and watching David and Caitlyn perform with DPAC and at Music Mountain Theater. His grandson, Jaxson, was the light of his life and they adored each other.
Son of the late Frederick McCloughan, Sr. and brother of the late Frederick McCloughan, Jr, he is survived by his mother Phyllis Smith and her husband Arthur, his wife of 34 years, Mary Lisa Prall McCloughan, his daughter, Caitlyn J. McCloughan, his sons, David P. McCloughan, Jr. and Thomas S. McCloughan and his grandson, Jackson T. McCloughan. He is also survived by his sister Rose Collins and her husband George, his brothers Joseph McCloughan and his wife Lori, Phillip McCloughan and his wife Susan, Paul McCloughan and his wife Rhonda, in-laws Thomas and Joan Prall, his sister in-law Jennifer Fleming and her husband Brion, and extended family David and Samuel Williams, and several
nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday December 20 at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Lambertville. Burial will follow in the Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Twp. Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 19 from 6-9 at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville, NJ.
