On Friday, July 17, at approximately 12:15 am, Patrolman Sean Ross stopped a 2008 Mercedes Benz M35 operated by Richard Fiorenza, age 54, of Green Brook, on Route 31 South near Center Street for failing to maintain lane. During the stop, Ptl. Ross detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Mr. Fiorenza’s breath and soon determined that he was intoxicated. Ptl. Ross arrested Mr. Fiorenza and transported him to police headquarters where Mr. Fiorenza provided samples of his breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in his blood. Ptl. Ross charged Mr. Fiorenza with Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Improper Safety Glass. He was released to the custody of a responsible adult and his vehicle was towed and impounded
