Leslie Earl ‘Jim’ Keller Jr.
Leslie Earl ‘Jim’ Keller Jr., age 80, of Union Twp., NJ passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Rolling Hills Care Center in Lebanon, NJ.
He was born on February 4, 1936 in Baltimore, MD. He had resided in NJ since 1985, moving from Hingham, MA.
Jim was the son of the late Leslie Earl Keller Sr. and Kathryn Claire Klemmer Keller.
He was the husband of Margarita ‘Marge’ Gonzalez Keller, celebrating over 46 years of marriage.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife include his two daughters; Kathryn Elizabeth Kemp of Trappe, MD and Mary ‘Aimee’ Olsen and her husband Raymond of High Bridge, NJ. Six grandchildren; Eric J. Kemp of Trappe, MD, Thomas S. Kemp of Trappe, MD, Aiden T. Keller of Clinton Twp., NJ, Patrick J. Querry of Allentown, PA, Christopher S. Querry of Clinton, NJ and Melissa M. Olsen of High Bridge, NJ.
Predeceased includes one daughter; Elizabeth A. Keller who passed away in 1969.
Jim was a retired executive in the retail industry and served his community and the State of New Jersey as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor; and as a Legislative Advocate dealing with issues of addiction. He served on the Board of Directors of The Good News Home for Women, Warren County Community Prevention Resources and Essex Prevention Resources. He served the Episcopal Church in the Dioceses of Maryland, Massachusetts and on the staff of the Bishop of New Jersey. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Lebanon .
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 1pm at Church of the Holy Spirit, 3 Haytown Road, Lebanon, NJ 08833. Interment will follow immediately in the Church Memorial Garden. Arrangements by Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.
