Assemblyman Anthony M. Bucco joined Gov. Chris Christie and healthcare leaders to break ground today on the Summit Medical Group’s new MD Anderson Cancer Center. The new 130,000-square-foot state-of-the-art cancer center will be adjacent to Summit Medical Group’s new facility in Florham Park.
“North Jersey residents will have more convenient access to the No. 1 cancer center in the nation right here in our backyard,” said Bucco (R-Morris). “Now those with cancer can obtain world-class treatment, equipped with the latest advances, that is close to home without having to drive to Philadelphia or New York.”
The Summit Medical Group’s new MD Anderson Cancer Center is expected to open in 2018, and is an extension of the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
