Local Author will Read “My Special Cupcake” at Hunterdon Medical Center Fair

Local author, Julie Klingel will read her children’s book, “My Special Cupcake” at Hunterdon Medical Center’s 12th Annual Baby, Tot and Kid Fair on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. In this children’s tale, a child with food allergies gets invited to birthday parties and has specially designed cupcakes that everyone wants to try.

For kids who have allergies or special dietary needs, birthday parties can sometimes be difficult. Often these kids have to bring their own desserts along with them. But this can be more than just different – it can be special! As the invitations come pouring in, each party presents an opportunity for a newly designed special cupcake. When it arrives at the party in a clear pastry box, made with unique ingredients, and is placed at the center of the table for everyone to see, it’s the cupcake that everyone wants!

Carol Koprowicz, PNP-BC, from Hunterdon Pediatric Associates will also participate and answer kid’s questions on allergies and any issues those children with allergies maybe feeling.  She will also be available to answer parent’s questions too.  For more information on the Baby, Tot and Kid Fair, please visit www.hunterdonhealthcare.org.
