Lockatong Engineering was a proud sponsor of theManager Best Practices Roundtable Discussion and Networking Reception, held on May 16, 2017 as part of the New Jersey Chapter of the Community Association Institute (CAI-NJ)Continuing Education Program.
Lockatong president, Robert N. Roop, presided over one of the Roundtables: Don’t Get Washed Away – Solutions for Drainage Problems. Participants discussed common drainage problems faced by condominium associations, such as flooded sidewalks, paving damage at storm catchments, retention pond malfunctions and poor building downspout discharge locations. Roop was able to provide some engineering solutions to attendees to correct these common problems, most of which can be implemented at modest cost.
Other event sponsors included American Pool Enterprises, Black Lagoon Pond Management, Griffin Alexander, P.C. and The Davey Tree Expert Company who discussed the responsibilities and limitations of property managers in aging communities; community association pool safety; dealing with mosquitos; and regular tree maintenance.
