Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, and Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski announced that an investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, & Narcotics Task Force led to the arrest of one individual for narcotics offenses in Kingwood Township. According to Prosecutor Kearns, “The investigation resulted in the arrest of Cory Mitchell, age 24, of Milford, on February 16, 2017, for Distribution of Heroin and Possession of Heroin, both 3rd degree crimes. The defendant was released on his own recognizance pending his first court appearance in Superior Court.” The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
