March of Dimes Fundraiser Event at Balic of Clinton MAY 7

Balic of Clinton is proud to present “The History of March of Dimes…The Early Years” Open House on Thursday evening, May 7th from 5:00 – 7:30 pm at 20 Main Street in the Town of  Clinton.

Come support this March of Dimes fundraiser and join the celebration and learning experience which highlights the impressive history of March of Dimes during the organization’s second decade – 1950’s with their continued research into a cure for polio.

“As a mother and grandmother, March of Dimes means so much to me” said Joan Schaming, co-owner of Balic of Clinton. “The health of babies has been their focus for most of March of Dimes 75 years.  But as a baby-boomer, the early years have significant memories for me” she continues.  “I had a cousin who was stricken with polio.  March of Dimes was there for him and his family through three surgeries.”

So let’s toast March of Dimes at this celebratory Open House evening which will include wine tasting, refreshments and a silent auction.  Live music featuring “rock n roll” favorites to set the stage of the 1950’s theme.  Dress up in 1950’s attire is not only welcome, but encouraged.  So ladies get out your poodle skirt and bobby socks; and guys slick back your hair and roll up a pack of cigs in your sleeve…then come and enjoy the evening.

Tickets are now on sale at Balic of Clinton – 20 Main Street in downtown Clinton.  The $20 admission fee will also be available the evening of the event.  Proceeds from ticket sales, silent auction and a percentage of shop sales during event will be donated to .
