Marijuana/Credit Card Crimes

On Wednesday, December 28, at approximately 9:45 pm, an officer stopped a 2008 Mercedes sedan operated by Jeremy Singleton, age 30, of Austell, GA, on Interstate 78 West near Exit 17 for having a taillight out. During the stop, the officer detected the odor of marijuana inside of the vehicle and soon found Mr. Singleton to be in possession of a small amount of it as well as a pack of rolling papers. A search also produced a magnetic credit card skimming device, eleven (11) blank credit cards, and two (2) credit cards with different names on them. Mr. Singleton was arrested and charged with Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card Scanning Device, Credit Card Theft, Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Fictitious Plates, Maintenance of Lamps, and Failure to Wear Seatbelt. He was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail in default of $10,000 bail.
