Flemington, NJ – Mary C. (Bolger) Frain, 87, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ with loving family by her side. Born in Woodside, NY, daughter of the late James and Alice (Carney) Bolger, she resided in Springfield, NJ before settling to Flemington in 2005.

She loved trips to the Jersey Shore and her shore home in Barnegat; she enjoyed traveling with her husband Bernie on cruises and also to Ireland, Hawaii and other places. Mary always liked to “go out” and shopping was also a favorite pastime. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges and formerly of St. James Church in Springfield.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of fifty-seven years, Bernard F. Frain, Sr. who died on September 6, 2012; her sister, Alice McAllister; brother-in-law, Frank McAllister; brother-in-law, John Frain; sister-in-law, Wanda Frain; sister-in-law, Laura Frain; and brother-in-law, Patrick Frain.
Mary is survived by five loving children, Mary Frain of Whitehouse Station, NJ, James Frain of Upper Montclair, NJ, Bernard F. Frain, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Colts Neck, NJ, Eileen Frain of High Bridge, NJ and Ann Banz and her son-in-law Joseph Banz of Bridgewater, NJ; dear brother-in-law, Thomas Frain and her sister-in-law Mary of Shark River Hills, NJ; and sister-in-law Evelyn Frain of Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Mary will be deeply missed by five cherished grandchildren, Joseph Banz, Jr., Daniel Banz, Katherine Banz, Jenna Frain, and Leah Frain; as well as several nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by her loving and exceptionally devoted caregiver, Melvin Sangabol.
The family greatly appreciates the care and compassion of Dr. Myron Bednar and all the staff at Hunterdon Cancer Center, including reception, technicians, and nurses who provided exemplary and loving care to our mother.
