Michael Louis Poggi, 59, resident of Indialantic, FL, passed away Monday (October 30, 2017) peacefully at home.
Born in Flemington, NJ, he resided in High Bridge, NJ before moving to Florida.
Michael was a graduate of Delbarton School in Morristown, NJ. He received a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.A. in Computer Science from Montclair State College. Michael also received an MBA in Marketing from the Roy E. Crummer School of Business at Rollins College. He was President and Sole Owner of Solutions-in-General and had been retired the past several years.
Michael, an avid New York Giants fan since childhood, was a long-standing member of the Clifton NJ Moose (657) Club. He loved to travel across the US and overseas especially enjoying his trip to Cuenca, Ecuador. He was a connoisseur of fine food and wine and loved watching vintage movies and television. Michael loved riding his motorcycles and especially loved his dogs, Skynyrd and Macy.
He was predeceased by his father, Louis John Poggi; his mother, Ann Mary Quinn Poggi; his brother, John Terrence Poggi; his paternal grandparents, John Poggi and Paolina Pedrazzani Poggi; and his maternal grandparents, John Quinn and Elizabeth Hetherington Quinn.
Surviving are his two sisters, Barbara Ann Poggi of Melbourne, FL and Susan Poggi Hagen and her husband, Edward Hagen of Hampton, NH. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, a grand-nephew, two grand-nieces and many close friends.
Visitation is from 4 to 8pm Friday, November 10, at the Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Saturday, November 11, at St. Joseph’s Church, 59 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ. Entombment will immediately follow at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Clinton, NJ.
