On Wednesday, May 11, at approximately 8:50 am, a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro operated by Amanda Palmer, age 33, of Clinton Township, was traveling Route 31 South near Halstead Street when it crashed into the rear of a 2015 BMW 535 operated by Roy Narine, age 46, of Washington. There were no injuries. The investigating officer observed needle injection marks on Ms. Palmer’s arms and hands and soon determined that she was under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. Ms. Palmer was charged with Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Careless Driving. She was released ROR.
