On Tuesday, May 27, at approximately 2:15 am, Patrolman Harry Bugal stopped a 2009 Nissan Sentra operated by Casey Gerald, age 23, of Chester, on Route 31 North for multiple violations. During the stop, Ptl. Bugal detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Ms. Gerald’s breath and soon determined that she was intoxicated. As a result, Ms. Gerald was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she provided samples of her breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in her blood. Ptl. Bugal issued Ms. Gerald motor vehicle summonses for Driving While Intoxicated, Speeding, and Failure to Wear Seatbelt. She was released to the custody of a responsible adult and her vehicle was towed and impounded.
