NOT WEARING SEATBELTS SINKS HIGH BRIDGE DUO WITH HEROIN

@ approximately 11:54 AM – Police arrested Brian R. Walther, age 40 and William J. Crosson, age 38, both of High Bridge, NJ and charged each with narcotics offenses following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 202/31. Walther was initially stopped for improper passing and because the front seat passenger in his vehicle (Crosson) was not wearing a seatbelt. Walther was found to have an active traffic warrant issued for his arrest out of Holmdel Municipal Court ($750.00 bail). Each was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin) and possession of hypodermic syringes. Walther was issued motor vehicle summonses for improper passing and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Crosson was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to wear seatbelt. Both were released on the Raritan Township charges after processing at police headquarters. Holmdel elected to release Walther with a new court date on the warrant. Investigation and arrests by P.O. Adam Swiatek.
