March 1 is the last day to stick a franchise tag on a player and for the Jets that means that they should lock up Big Mo Wilkerson for the rest of his career. Plain and simple, Mo is the best player on the team, he is an outstanding force in the locker room and he is a great guy in the community. In an age where many NFL players are less than cooperative Mo is a shining star, and he’s from Jersey for goodness sake and he’s only 26 and just entering the prime time of his career. If Woody J wants to sell more season tickets pay him the money and get it done.
What does this mean for other Jet players, some are going to have to go. Kerley and Cumberland are on the hot seat and don’t be surprised if they are cut today.
