Jets GM Big Mac made some tough decisions as he cut the roster down to 53 but he showed great resolve in not keeping players who were high draft picks because of where they were selected. Case in point previous GM made high picks out of Dee Milliner and Jace Amaro and they simply could not play. Some GM’s might have waited longer for these players to develop but not Big Mac, he used the eye test and decided that both players were incompetent and should not drag down roster spots that can be taken by players who can make an impact on special teams.
Big Mac continues to do a great job at the GM spot, making the team younger and faster while still maintaining veterans like Fitz, Marshal and Decker in key skill positions. He also got the off season deal done with Mo Wilk who is a super citizen and great player.
